6 Days Marangu route Kilimanjaro Bike trekking tour itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Upon arrival in Moshi, Tanzania, you will be transferred to your accommodation. In the evening, there will be a briefing and a bike check to ensure all equipment is in order.
Day 2: Moshi to Marangu Gate and Mandara Hut
Embark on your biking journey from Moshi to Marangu Gate. The route takes you through lush rainforests as you begin the ascent to Mandara Hut. Camp overnight at Mandara Hut.
Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Continue your biking adventure through the rainforest, transitioning into heath and moorland zones. Reach Horombo Hut, where you will camp overnight.
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Bike through the alpine desert landscape to reach Kibo Hut. This is the final base camp before the summit push. Camp overnight at Kibo Hut.
Day 5: Summit Day and Descent to Horombo Hut
Embark on an early morning bike ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. Descend to Horombo Hut for a well-deserved rest, camping overnight.
Day 6: Descend to Marangu Gate and Departure
Begin the descent through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. Complete the trek and transfer back to Moshi. Depending on your schedule, depart or spend additional nights in Moshi.
