Day 01:Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m).

Your adventure begins at Marangu Gate, where you’ll complete registration and meet your guide and porters. Trek through lush rainforests, home to a variety of wildlife and exotic vegetation. Reach Mandara Hut, your first accommodation on the mountain. Distance: Approximately 8 Kilometers. Time: 3-4 hours.

Day 02:Mandara Hut (2,700m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m).

Depart Mandara Hut and ascend through the moorland zone. Enjoy panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks along the way. Arrive at Horombo Hut, your lodging for the night. Distance: Approximately 12 kilometers. Time: 5-6 hours.

Day 03:Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Spend a day at Horombo Hut for acclimatization. You can take a sidehike to Zebra Rocks or simply relax and acclimate to the higher altitude. It’s a crucial day to prepare your body for the summit push.

Day 04:Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Kibo Hut (4,703m).

Continue your ascent, leaving the moorland behind, as you enter the alpine desert zone. Arrive at Kibo Hut, your last stop before the Summit Attempt. Rest and prepare for the challenging summit night. Distance: Approximately 9 kilometers. Time: 5-6 hours.

Day 05:Summit Day- Kibo Hut (4,703m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m).

The most challenging day of the climb begins in the middle of the night. Ascend to the summit of Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, to witness a breathtaking sunrise. Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest and then continue down to Horombo Hut. Distance: Approximately 21 kilometers (including the summit). Time: 12-16 hours (including breaks and summit time).

Day 06:Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Marangu Gate (1,860m)

Descend through the moorland and lush rainforests. Reach Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates and celebrate your achievement. Bid farewell to the mountain and transfer back to your accommodation in Arusha or Moshi. Distance: Approximately 27 kilometers. Time: 6-8 hours.
