About Lemosho Route
Lemosho Route is known as one of the most scenic routes on Kilimanjaro. Climbers experience several glaciers, Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall and Lava Tower all on this route. The decent is via Mweka Route, giving climbers the chance to experience more of Mount Kilimanjaro on the way down.
It also has a good acclimatization profile, making this trek a top choice for climbers with less climbing experience. Apart from Barranco Wall, most of Lemosho Route is not very steep, making it a perferred route for older climbers, or ones with a lower fitness level, especially when compared to the more difficult Machame Route.

This descent takes about 2 hours and offers great opportunities to take some beautiful photographs of the Western Breach and Breach Wall.
